Following text from Vinyl Engine
Superb deck up to modern day standards. A lot more precise than a Linn. Mates well with Mission 774 arm. It has big wide soundstage and when correctly set up good dynamics with loads of detail.

10/10 by slawts

Have had this deck from new and is a natural partner for the PU2 arm where together they are a formidable opponent to all - the width, depth, detail and colour of information is amazing with either the Linn K18 or Denon DL103D on board.

10/10 by peanuts

The original Systemdek Transcription turntable is a 2-speed, belt-driven design with 3-point sprung chassis and AC synchronous motor.
The heavy sheet steel base plate is supported on height-adjustable rubber feet, one at the centre and two at the front.
The sides of the plinth are constructed from an aluminium extrusion, damped and decorated with black and silver.
The sub-chassis of the Transcription floats on an un-damped, three point, spring suspension and carries the arm and platter assembly.
The sub-chassis is constructed from aluminium, steel and a specially damped arm plate and is free from structural resonances in the audio range.
The platter is a massive alloy unit, individually balanced during manufacture.
Completing this assembly is a 10mm, high precision spindle of stainless steel, countersunk at its foot to provide a seating for a precision 8mm ball bearing.

Radical design with no compromise on sound quality at the lowest price possible. All ingredients, like the shape of the chassis with decoupled motor, inverted main bearing and newly designed tone-arm all add up to a miracle in sound for the price!

For sure, those looking to make a move into the realm of vinyl-based analogue or resurrect their old record collection without skinning off their back will not find anything better for the price, for there is none. Highly recommended."

Converts your vinyl to MP3, or just plays your records.
Automatic 2 speed turn table with USB and phono leads.

"USB turntables are a bit of an odd:they're a device that serves the pleasure of vinyl-philes and DJs - two small and elite groups - but they have digital audio converters and USB connections to facilitate conversion of sweet, sexy analog sound into easily portable digital files on your computer. Taking all of that into consideration, it's really a wonder LP lovers don't consider USB turntables the Antichrist.
Actually, that's a little unfair: plenty of people have record collections moldering in boxes in their basements that they've love to listen to again, perhaps on their mp3 players or their media PCs. They're probably looking for a fairly easy solution that sounds good. For these people, Ion Audio has the iTTUSB line, including the iTTUSB 10, a turntable with USB and RCA outputs that hopes to not only play your records, but help you digitize them with style and ease. Today's task: find out exactly how well those claims stand up to the cold, harsh light of reality. Let's go."

NB. DUE TO THE WEIGHT OF THE ITEM AND FRAGILITY ADVISE PICK UP OR MEET AT A PRE-ARRANGED PLACE

IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, ALL FUNCTION WORK, NO CRACKLES ON SLIDERS.
PRESPEX LID IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. ALL VERY CLEAN AND SMART. MADE 1981 TO 182

With an FM/LW and MW radio, Beocenter 2002 was a slightly updated version of its predecessor, Beocenter 2000. An MMC 20S cartridge was fitted to the semi-automatic record deck with an amplifier delivering 2 x 25W, sufficient for a small room.
New to this machine was the inclusion of the metal tape facility in its cassette deck. This allowed for better quality recordings although it’s doubtful whether a machine of this calibre would have been able to maximise the qualities inherent within this new recording medium.
There were connections for a microphone and a pair of headphones. System Cabinet SC20 could be bought as an optional accessory to house the stereo system.

Detailed item information
Product Information
Being among the top-notch receivers offered by Sony, the Sony STR-DB790 channel receiver is definitely a device to consider. With its compact yet solid build, users can expect a device that is as good as, or better than, it looks. This Sony channel receiver is based on Sony’s QS Series standard. Some of the its main features include noise-reduction functions, sound-adjusting options, optimized short signal paths, a PC board that is integrated in a slanted manner to reduce standing waves, SF heat sinks, and high-power MOSFE output transistors. This Sony channel receiver not only has a sleek look, but, more importantly, makes it a point to cater to sound and video quality. Image optimization is designed to reduce image distortions, and sound optimization comes in handy when watching low sound-quality content. Similarly, this Sony channel receiver offers a plethora of connection options to attach the device to iPods, iPhones and Blu-Ray devices. Made for those who appreciate quality, this Sony 6.1-channel receiver tops the list when it comes to performing at par. The Sony STR-DB790 channel receiver is an ideal 6.1-channel receiver for movie buffs.

ARMSTRONG model 221 valve amp
ARMSTRONG model 221 valve amp

ARMSTRONG model 221 integrated valve amplifier. Circa 1967
HEAVY AND DELICATE, BUYER COLLECTS, OR MEET IN PRE-ARRANGED PLACE.
In excellent cosmetic condition and working order, recently serviced (20.01.13)
The 221 was introduced in 1965, and weas launched at the Audio Show that year in London at the Hotel Russell. The picture above shows the front of a 221. The most obvious visible difference between this and a 222 is the row of three pushbuttons. The power sections of this amplifier were similar to the 222's. However this amplifier was unusual in being a transistor/valve integrated hybrid. It had a pick-up input for magnetic cartridges (sensitivity of 3·5 mV) in addition to the ceramic pu input. It also had tape output and monitoring facilities. The three push buttons were the tape monitor switch, a treble (scratch) filter switch, and a loudness control. In effect the 221 was a 222 to which some of the features of the 225 had been added. From Audiomisc

REALISTIC sta2000 am/FM tuner amp Circa 1976

A monster amp, sounds like a valve amp! In use with the Realistic deck and loving it!
See if you can make sence of this.......

"REALISTIC STA-2000, Available 1976, Dolby 2000D Available 1979.
Useable for stereo with only 5.0 uV from roof antennae! Carver CT-17, 20uV, QUAD FM4 25uV!
Stereo separation at mid frequencies an incredibly high 54dB voiced by special sectional horn!
Output discrete metal NEC 2SD287, 2SB539 transistors in two separate mono power amplifiers, high quality resistors, (all Elna capacitor Korean version). 2 x Elna 15,000uF, 63 volts. S/N ratio: 75dB AUX, Phono 70dB. Power Output, 8 ohms: 75 watts RMS, both channels driven. THD 0.25%, +/- 2dB, 15 - 25,000Hz. FM tuner sensitivity 1.7 micro volts mono. Genuine walnut veneer sides supporting rigid sub-chassis. Silent Mains transformer. Hi-Fi AM. Tuned Chassis.

Arthur Fiedler the light classical conductor, before his death mid 1979, recommended STA-2000 system sound for anybody doing a lot of listening. Comparing the Optimus X-100 to the EMI 319 you know your REALISTIC receiver and speaker make a truly remarkable combination. 319 needs KT66 tubes.

NEC founded by Kunihiko Iwadare in 1899 in Japan under the name Nippon Electric Company, Ltd., their metal body TO-3 transistors are known for a tube-like sound, only real natural, sweet and crystal clear!

REALISTIC STA-2000 1976 is Japanese:- Metal finned rectifier is seen above chassis and often unreliable, pale color wiring, screw down binding posts for speakers, Clear perspex case speaker relay is often unreliable. Early 70s SONY source electrolytic circuit capacitors and ELNA smoothing can."

Hitachi HT-840
10/10 by mojito
This is a proper TT. working precise and reliable. No problems after all this years ...
Especially with jazz it's unbeatable. Best bass with a tt I've ever heard.

Very rare. just some hundred were produced. some say: one of the best made in japan.

the arm is some first class thing, too. Asked several dealers for an upgrade last year. They were pointing at 2.000 € plus X-modells.

The bigger denons and technics are better known - but better playing? I wouldn't bet on that......

PHYSICALLY PERFECT, AUDIBLY SUPERB.
